About this blog
Welcome to Lamont-County Environment (LCE), a blog that serves to post environmental news about and comments on industrial and community developments that affect the environment and circumstances of the residents in Lamont County and its communities.
LCE is associated with the website folc.ca (where “folc” signifies: “For our Lamont County”).
This blog serves as the news page of folc.ca, presently still at that website.
The posting, administration and searching of news items at the news page of folc.ca became far too cumbersome and will be greatly more convenient at LCE for you and for me.
The opinions presented in this blog are entirely mine and those of anyone who cares to comment on any of the posts. The posts and related comments on this blog do not necessarily reflect official or private opinions held or policies promoted by the organization of the Friends of Lamont County for responsible industrial and community development.
Although this blog is generally supportive of the efforts and policies of the Friends of Lamont County, it is not in any way affiliated with or controlled by the Friends of Lamont County.
Funding for the operation of this blog and its related website comes entirely out of my own resources.
This is a moderated blog. You may comment on any of the news, information and ideas posted here, but a few rules apply. Here are those rules (they possibly will change a little as time goes by):
Rules for making comments
- Keep your comments short.
- Make no ad-hominem attacks (any statement that, firstly, appeals to feelings or prejudices rather than intellect or, secondly, is marked by or is an attack on an opponent’s character rather than being an answer to the contentions made).
- Do not swear or use vile language.
- Do not call for revolutions or assassinations.
- Do not deprecate ethnic or racial origins.
- Use facts and logic in your comments.
- Do not base your comments on political correctness. Political correctness usually precludes logic and facts and is generally based on unsubstantiated opinions.
- A comment that does not meet the preceding requirements will not be posted.
In the event of any conflict with those rules, the moderator (that is I) has the last word.
