Keep in mind that the temperature records identified in the following are all for places that are affected by the Urban Heat Island effect.  The “warming” shown over time for those records would be substantially less for near rural areas.

Keep also in mind that, although much is made of the decline in the number of measuring stations — world-wide, the decline in the number of the measuring stations is apparently mainly due to [1] selections of desired-, and deletions of undesired-, temperature records made by organizations such as the biased Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia.
