What the main-stream media do not tell you about climate change
August 26, 2009 by admin.
Three articles of interest, covering topics you won’t read about in the main-stream media:
- 12 Facts about Global Climate Change That You Won’t Read in the Popular Press, by Joseph D’Aleo, Energy Tribune, Aug. 18, 2009
- Why the Greenland and Antarctic Ice Sheets are Not Collapsing, by Cliff Ollier (School of Earth and Geographical Sciences, The University of Western Australia) and by Colin Pain, AIG News, Aug. 2009
- Creating Catastrophe, by Ian Plimer, Quadrant Online, Aug. 24, 2009
What comes to mind is Sir Christopher Monckton of Brenchley’s admonition, which calls the alarmist climate hype “the most lavishly-funded propaganda campaign by the classe politique since Goebbels tried to make Nazism look good,” and states:
If you wish to raise excessive revenue, be honest about it. Say that you intend to tax and tax and tax again. But desist from claiming that you are raising the revenue with the aim of preventing “climate crisis”.

Chilling Stars Author Henrik Svensmark On Video
In a five-part [each about ten minutes] video series featuring Danish scientist Henrik Svensmark, the author of The Chilling Stars talks about his research into the effects that cosmic rays have on cloud formation. His theories contradict the IPCC’s theory of anthropogenic global warming, which basically blames last century’s rise in average global temperature on human CO2 emissions. As many good scientists outside of the inbred climate change community have noticed, carbon dioxide just isn’t up to the job of causing last century’s observed global temperature rise. Instead, Svensmark and his colleagues hypothesize that clouds created by cosmic rays, which are in part controlled by the activity of the sun, regulate Earth’s climate. Because this contradicts the IPCC’s view of global warming, Svensmark’s theory has been ignored by the climate alarmists and Svensmark himself vilified….(Full Story)
Svensmark’s theory presented in the video series is important, especially in view of the fact that there is a dearth of proof that atmospheric CO2 levels drive temperature trends. Although atmospheric levels of CO2 are steadily increasing, there is no corresponding increase in global temperatures. The reality of that is that after the higher than normal global temperatures that the 1998 El Nino helped to create, there has been a trend of declining global average temperatures.

Environmentalism: global communist totalitarianism
August 11, 2009 by admin.
Dr. Tim Ball, a renowned environmental consultant and former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg, provides an explanation and summary of environmentalism in a series of articles on global warming.
If you have not been following the evolution of the politics and policies related to the implementation of global environmentalism, what Dr. Ball’s series of articles at Canada Free Press tells will surprise you. Whether or not you have been following the debate, you will find the series of articles to be an excellent primer on how environmentalism is made to function as a tool to implement global totalitarianism.
Part 1: Environmental Extremism
Part 2: Historical and philosophical context of the climate change debate.
Part 3: How the world was misled about global warming and now climate change
Part 4: How UN structures were designed to prove human CO2 was causing global warming
Part 5: Wreaking Havoc on Global Economies
Part 6: The Hockey Stick scam that heightened global warming hysteria
Part 7: The Unholy Alliance that manufactured Global Warming
Part 8: UN’s IPCC preying on people’s ignorance
Part 9: Carbon Taxes: Hand over your money! “We are saving you from yourself”
Part 10: Environmentalists Seize Green Moral High Ground Ignoring Science
Part 11: Maurice Strong Politics 101

Older articles by Dr. Tim Ball
Time and again throughout the article series but especially in the last article of the series Dr. Ball refers to the main political manipulator who imposes the new world religion of environmentalism, Maurice Strong. For a good understanding of Maurice Strong’s controlling influence on the evolution of global environmentalism, it is vitally important to read up on some of the circumstances and career highlights of Maurice Strong.
Wikipedia has an entry on Maurice Strong. It is intriguing that the entry lacks mention of Maurice Strong’s connection to any Rockefeller (David Rockefeller apparently recruited Maurice Strong at age 17). A more informative summary of information pertaining to Maurice Strong is contained in “Maurice Strong: The new guy in your future!“,by Henry Lamb, January, 1997.

I Accuse!
In 1898, an article by the great French novelist, Emile Zola was published in L’Aurore. It was addressed to the President of France. Zola accused the military of having wrongly convicted Capt. Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish artillery officer, of treason, incarcerating him for years on Devil’s Island. The title of the article was “J’Accuse!” Zola’s courage has been an inspiration for writers ever since.
It is in this spirit that I issue my own version of “I Accuse.”….(Full Story)
From Wikipedia: “Alan Caruba (b. Oct. 9, 1937) is a public relations counselor and freelance writer who is a frequent critic of environmentalism, Islam and global warming.”

Role of the sun and CO2 in global warming

Whether your position is that of a “warmist” or that of a “skeptic” in the AGW (anthropogenic - or man-made - global warming) debate, the two essays identified by the following are essential reading.
SUN WARMS AND COOLS THE EARTH

In an op-ed in a Polish weekly I commented recently on a remarkable decrease of global temperature in 2008, and over the past decade. Not surprisingly the op-ed evoked a strong reaction from Polish coworkers of IPCC, denying the existence of cooling. Surprising, however, was that the criticism dwelled upon a “global climatic conspiracy”, and “colossal international plot”. I did not use these words nor even hinted at such an idea. The idea, well described in Wikipedia, was probably apparent from the data and facts I presented, showing weaknesses of the man-made global warming hypothesis. Without irrational political or ideological factors, it is really difficult to understand why so many people believe in human causation of the Modern Warm Period, which was never plausibly proved by scientific evidence. Some of these factors I will discuss here.

Abstract—Claimed human-caused warming of the Earth to dangerous and unprecedented levels by human-related emissions of carbon dioxide is contradicted mainly by a non-correlation of carbon dioxide levels with warming. Details are given of misleading proxy temperature reconstructions, as well as of misleading proxy atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations. Evidence is presented to show that trepidation about runaway land surface temperatures should apply only to giant urban heat islands, not to rural areas or oceans. Evidence is presented for causes in addition to human emissions for changes in the levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, namely its emission from warming oceans. Plausible alternative causes of surface temperature change are given as well, including variations in solar output and cosmic ray intensity.

Climate — Consensus? The science is settled?
August 4, 2009 by admin.
…A real comprehensive study, whose value would have been absolutely essential, would have shown, even before the IPCC was founded, that humans have had no measurable effect on global warming through CO2 emissions. Instead the temperature fluctuations have been within normal ranges and are due to natural cycles. Indeed the atmosphere has not warmed since 1998 – more than 10 years, and the global temperature has even dropped significantly since 2003.
Not one of the many extremely expensive climate models predicted this. According to the IPCC, it was supposed to have gotten steadily warmer, but just the opposite has occurred.
More importantly, there’s a growing body of evidence showing anthropogenic CO2 plays no measurable role. Indeed CO2’s capability to absorb radiation is already exhausted by today’s atmospheric concentrations. If CO2 did indeed have an effect and all fossil fuels were burned, then additional warming over the long term would in fact remain limited to only a few tenths of a degree.
In the meantime, the belief of climate change, and that it is manmade, has become a pseudo-religion. Its proponents, without thought, pillory independent and fact-based analysts and experts, many of whom are the best and brightest of the international scientific community. Fortunately in the internet it is possible to find numerous scientific works that show in detail there is no anthropogenic CO2 caused climate change. If it was not for the internet, climate realists would hardly be able to make their voices heard. Rarely do their critical views get published….

….In a final coup d’état, Climate Depot exposes this little gem: UN IPCC’s William Schlesinger admits in 2009 that only 20% of IPCC scientists deal with climate. You read that correctly, the IPCC Climate report was largely supported by scientists with zero climate science background….
